Our straws are made from rice flour, tapioca starch and water

Our straws are 150mm (Black and Rice white colours) and 200mm in length (Black, Rice white, Red, Green, Yellow and Orange) and we have options of various diameters: 6.5mm. 8mm, 10mm & 13mm. Not all sizes and colours may be available to buy on the website. Please call us to inquire.

Yes, we offer customisation of our straws in terms of their length and colour. This is only available for trade customers with repeat bulk orders.

No, our straws are neutral and do not have any inherent taste or smell.

Yes, the shelf life is 18 months from the month of manufacturing. This date is also outlined on in all our packaging.

Edesia Rice straws can last up to 1 hour in any cold beverage.

Edesia Rice straws are safe for consumption. There are no side effects in case of accidental consumption of the rice straws.

No, we do not recommend using straws to drink hot drinks as you may get burnt.

A large amounts of energy and trees are required to produce the paper for paper straws. The glue and dyes used to make paper straws contains toxic 'forever' (PFAS) chemicals which are very harmful to gut health. Hence, it’s not good for you or the environment.

Edesia Rice Straws are one of the best eco-friendly options available in the market. Made from natural ingredients, they are 100% biodegradable and zero waste as it disintegrates in weeks.

No, these straws are meant for single-use only.

These straws will break down in any environment, faster breakdown will occur in wet conditions (usually within a week) and in a dry environment (within three months). They are also home compostable. 

They will break down very quickly in waterways or the ocean and can be put in landfill or compost areas with a zero-waste footprint. They can even be source of food for the marine life.

If for some reason you are not satisfied and would like to return a product for a full refund or exchange please, in the first instance, email sales@edesia.store, stating reasons for the return. If the products we have supplied are damaged or broken, and provided that you have notified us within 14 days of receipt of the goods we’ll be happy to replace them.
