Edesia is the Roman Goddess of Food who presides over banquets. Her name means “to consume”, and can also mean “ to spend money on food”, connecting Edesia with luxury as well as the Earth where the food come from.
She inspires us to truly believe that products made from Earth’s resources and be turned into premium products and returned to Earth after use without harming it.
Leading the charge of the business’s marriage of uncompromising luxury and sustainability is Smruti Patel, who has brought Rice Straws to the UK. She believes that we as a nation need to demand better options to drink our beverages with, than soggy paper straws.
She is constantly on the look out for improving guest amenities in hotels and gaps in the food and drink industry, for products to better serve us functionally and reduce impact on our planet.
